HOW WE WORK

Frequently Asked Questions:

Understand your rights and discover how Fly Claim helps you get compensation for delayed, cancelled, or overbooked flights.

What is the compensation amount you are entitled to ?
The amount of compensation depends on the flight distance and the delay upon arrival. It can range from €250 to €600 per passenger, even if the ticket was purchased at a low price.
Who can claim compensation for a delayed or cancelled flight ?
Anyone who has taken a flight departing from or arriving in the European Union, or operated by a European airline, may be eligible for compensation in case of a delay of more than 3 hours, cancellation, or denied boarding, according to European Regulation EC 261/2004.
What documents do you need to provide ?
In general, a proof of booking or a boarding pass is sufficient. If you have an e-ticket or a confirmation email, that's perfect. Our team can also assist you if you no longer have these documents.
How long does it take to receive your compensation ?
Typically, most claims are resolved within a few weeks, but some exceptional cases may take longer, especially if the airline disputes the claim or legal action is required.
Good news: thanks to our expertise and automated tools, Fly Claim processes requests faster than most traditional services.
Do you have to pay anything in advance ?
No, our service is 100% free if you are not compensated. If you do receive compensation, we charge a 30% VAT-inclusive commission only upon success.
Can you request compensation for multiple passengers ?
Yes, you can add your family members, friends, or colleagues who traveled with you. Each passenger is entitled to a separate compensation.
In which cases can compensation be denied ?
Certain situations, called "extraordinary circumstances," allow airlines not to pay compensation. These include:
Bad weather or natural disasters
Strikes by airport staff or air traffic controllers (but not airline staff)
Terrorist alerts or political instability
On the other hand, technical problems or staff shortages within the airline are not considered extraordinary circumstances. In such cases, you are entitled to compensation.
